The Vice President of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for driving and achieving sales and marketing targets across all channels, including General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and E-commerce. This individual will lead efforts to expand market share, enhance brand recognition, and optimize revenue streams, playing a pivotal role.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Achieve Sales and Revenue Targets:
- Set and monitor sales and revenue goals for dairy products across General Trade, Modern Trade, and E-commerce channels.
- Regularly review sales performance and develop corrective actions to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual targets are met.
- Track and analyze the sales of each product category and identify trends, growth opportunities, and potential challenges.
- Implement targeted promotional strategies to drive sales growth in underperforming segments or regions.
2. Strategic Leadership in Sales and Marketing:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for dairy products, aligned with the company's growth objectives and market trends.
- Define market expansion priorities and profitability goals, ensuring the right focus on high margin products.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends, customer preferences, and new distribution opportunities.
3. Sales Organization Building and Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team, setting clear KPIs and performance standards for dairy product sales.
- Design and implement robust sales processes, performance tracking, and incentive structures to drive sales results.
- Provide training, coaching, and leadership to sales teams, ensuring deep knowledge of dairy products to effectively position them in the market.
4. Brand Strategy and Marketing Campaigns:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and consumer trust in dairy products.
- Oversee product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies for premium Ghee and related products to maintain competitive advantage in both offline and online markets.
- Design impactful promotional initiatives.
- Manage digital and traditional marketing efforts, including social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, and content marketing, to reach health-conscious and value-seeking consumers.
5. Channel Management and Distribution Growth:
- Maximize performance across General Trade, Modern Trade, and E-commerce channels, with a special focus on building distribution networks for dairy products.
- Develop and execute strategies for scaling distribution in General Trade and Modern Trade, including partnerships with key retailers and distributors.
- Implement digital marketing and E-commerce strategies to drive growth in online sales, including creating bundled offers to increase cross-category sales.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key e-commerce platforms to enhance product visibility and sales.
6. Market Penetration and Product Development:
- Identify new market opportunities for expanding the reach of dairy products, particularly in regions with growing demand for dairy-based health products.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to innovate and launch new value-added dairy products.
- Ensure successful product launches by working closely with product development and marketing teams to craft compelling messaging and go-to-market strategies.
7. Sales and Marketing Analytics:
- Utilize data analytics tools to track and evaluate the performance of sales and marketing initiatives for Ghee and by-products.
- Generate actionable insights from sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to optimize channel performance, improve profitability, and refine marketing strategies.
- Monitor and report on marketing ROI and the effectiveness of campaigns in driving product sales, brand awareness, and customer loyalty.
