Diploma in Industrial Safety/NEBOSH Certification 4-5 plus years experience in a developmental role with demonstrated knowledge of applicable environmental health and safety regulations is required in a multi-site environment; including exposure/experience Must have demonstrated success in managing a good EHS systems and processes. Must be action oriented and demonstrate energy for things seen as challenging. Ability to travel frequently; manage a team as needed to drive change. Must possess leadership, presentation and training skills, Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong analytical skills to determine root cause analysis set corrective action/course. Must enjoy working as both an individual contributor and as a facilitator for work teams.
What you will do Ensure that Implementation of established Policy Procedure at working site. Maintain the premises in a way that ensures the health and safety of people working on site. Disclose to Management the full details of any potential hazards in or around the workplace so they can be eliminated or controlled. Comply with occupational health and safety requirements and orders. How you will do it Implements policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions. May conduct training for personnel on safety and health issues. Provides advice on safety and protection, and carries out audits to ensure that JCI safety standards and government standards on environmental health and safety are met. This position is responsible to lead continuous improvement initiatives by building and maintaining the health safety infrastructure, developing, delivering best practices, and adhering to JCI safety standards. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the safety operations of multi-site facilities and will have a demonstrated knowledge of applicable safety regulations. Ensure compliance with state and local regulations pertaining to environmental, health and safety, representing the company in all contact with regulatory agencies. Plan, implement and manage safety/environmental policies and procedures in compliance with JCI safety standard, local Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations. Plan, implement and manage programs to train managers and employees at work site, review risk assessment, conduct safety audits, facility audits, implement good safety practices, for example, working at height, Electrical safety, safe working in confines spaces lockout/tag out, fall prevention, fire prevention and correct material handling techniques. Inspect organization facility to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented. Support the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperate in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use. Prepare reports on daily, weekly monthly EHS reports. Compile and submit accident and/or environmental reports required by JCI EHS requirements Maintain health, safety files and records. Participate in safety audits at other locations.
