Commissioning Engineer

Job Title: Commissioning Engineer (Fire and Security Systems)

As a Commissioning Engineer at JCI, you will work independently within our product portfolio of Fire and Security installations, performing commissioning and troubleshooting tasks. Your responsibilities will focus on fire safety solutions such as fire alarms, extinguishing systems, intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, and management systems for a diverse array of clients in industrial, petrochemical, governmental, and infrastructure environments.

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for the commissioning of Fire & Security (fire detection, evacuation, extinguishing, gas detection, management systems etc.) projects.
• Document the work performed and provide timely feedback on project status (work orders, drawings, project documentation, etc.).
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure project delivery meets client expectations.
• Provide technical support and training for customers on installed systems.

How You Will Do It:

• Follow established project schedules and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Supervise installation to ensure compliance with approved project designs.
• Coordinate with the quality team for regular audits and ensure high standards of quality in installations.
• Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge in the field of Fire & Security systems.

What We Look For:

• Technical education, MBO/HBO or equivalent level through demonstrable experience or education.
• Certificates in Maintenance and/or Project Management of fire detection/evacuation/CCTV systems.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the Fire & Security project environment is a plus.
• Hands-on mentality and ability to integrate into an existing organization, building relationships easily.
• Strong communication skills and a high level of customer service orientation.
