Job Description
- Participation in all stages of the software development life cycle, from initial concept, gathering requirements, to design, development, testing and deployment.
- Refactoring, debugging, and implementing changes to existing applications to meet project requirements.
- Preparation, drafting, and review of software documentation and project reports to meet senior staff and client requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers in the team. Collaborate with other team members, such as frontend developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to ensure effective project delivery.
- We are seeking a candidate with 3 to 6 years of experience in building backend systems using Node.js and a strong proficiency in NestJS framework.
- Extended knowledge in JavaScript is essential, and youll be working with it extensively along Typescript.
- Knowledge and experience in designing and building RESTful APIs to enable communication between the backend and front-end systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve technical issues, including performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and handling edge cases.
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization techniques, such as OAuth, JWT, and session management.
- Experience with writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using testing frameworks such as Jest.
- The ability to optimize the performance of Node.js applications, including database queries, network requests, and codebase optimizations.
- Familiarity with GitHub version control system to manage source code and collaborate with team members effectively.
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud services; Function App, Blob Storage files and tables and Azure Data Factory.
- A proven ability to multi-task and a client-service mentality with good problem-solving skills and the ability to influence.
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering / Science / Commerce discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
