Job Title: Associate Director, Consulting - Workplace Occupancy Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupancy Planning Strategist to lead our efforts in managing workplace occupancy and developing strategic occupancy plans. You will be responsible for providing strategic occupancy planning expertise, leveraging a deep understanding of our client s space supply and demand to develop scenario and occupancy plans for our clients portfolio in a designated region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate, data analysis, and stakeholder management, with the ability to create and model various occupancy scenarios while assessing associated risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Workplace Occupancy Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of workplace occupancy across all corporate locations within your remit
  • Implement and maintain occupancy tracking systems and processes
  • Analyze occupancy data to identify trends and opportunities for space utilization improvement

Occupancy Planning Scenario Modelling:

  • Create detailed occupancy planning models considering various factors such as headcount projections, remote work policies, and business growth
  • Develop multiple occupancy scenarios to support decision-making processes
  • Present scenario models to senior leadership and provide recommendations

Senior Stakeholder Coordination and Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders across the organization
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment on real estate and occupancy strategies
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports on portfolio performance and occupancy plans

Occupancy Planning Risk Modelling:

  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with various occupancy planning scenarios
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Regularly update risk models based on changing market conditions and organizational needs

We will expect you to work independently, multi-task, and manage your time to meet deadlines, as youll often need to reorganize your daily schedule to deal with your teams changing necessities and requests. We will also look to you to be proactive and innovative in developing solutions with your stakeholders and driving their implementation.

Tech-savvy

You will be successful in the role if you are comfortable using software to support planning solutions and communicate ideas clearly with the planning team and client. This includes having advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlook-up, cell calculations). In addition, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to consolidate data and floor plans into PowerPoint Presentations and experience with CAFM / IWMS software will be highly valuable.

A communication champion

Excellent communication skills are important - both written and spoken. An individual with strong interpersonal skills, able to understand complex ideas and communicate them to others, and an ability to interact with executive-level clients will be successful in the role. Most importantly, it would help if you look forward to working as part of a diverse, supportive, and talented team.

Below are the skills and experience that we are looking for:

  • Ability to lead through influence
  • Expert level data analytical skills and ability to articulate stories through data
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy - particularly numbers and spatial creativity
  • Highly organized and demonstrates a high level of performance in project budgeting and scheduling
  • A working knowledge of occupancy utilization, office design principles and trends such as the mobile or collaborative workplace is preferred
  • A bachelor s degree in Architecture or related field is preferred
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office in particular, PowerPoint Presentation skills & Excel (pivot table, vlook-up, cell calculations)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, and CAFM/ IWMS Systems
