Job Description
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, VAT, and other indirect tax returns.
- Prepare and review tax computations, reconciliations, and reports.
- Manage the process for availing input tax credits and refunds.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advisory support on indirect tax matters to various business units.
- Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for business operations and transactions.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the business.
- Handle indirect tax assessments, audits, and investigations conducted by tax authorities.
- Prepare and submit responses to tax notices and queries from authorities.
- Assist in representing the company in tax-related disputes and appeals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, procurement, legal) to ensure tax compliance.
- Liaise with external consultants, advisors, and tax authorities for resolving tax issues.
- Prepare and maintain detailed tax records, schedules, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Regularly update management on tax liabilities, opportunities, and risks.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation in tax reporting and compliance.
- Implement best practices in tax accounting and documentation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
- CA/CS/ICWA or relevant professional qualification in taxation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
