Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Tax team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, tax planning, and tax research. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Tax Manager in managing the tax compliance process, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and researching complex tax issues. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for building relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Tax Manager in managing the tax compliance process

Prepare and review complex income tax returns

Research complex tax issues

Build relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service

Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies

Assist in managing the tax provision process

Assist in managing and coordinating tax audits

Assist in maintaining tax balances on general ledger

Assist in preparing all tax papers on a regular basis

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related field

CPA certification preferred

3+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax department

Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax laws and regulations

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication skills
