Job Description
The Quality Engineer in Aluminium Extrusion is responsible for ensuring that all aluminium extrusions meet required specifications and quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and working closely with production teams to address any quality-related issues in the extrusion process.
The Quality Engineer will also analyze quality data, identify areas for improvement, and lead efforts to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Oversee quality inspections during the aluminium extrusion process to ensure products meet customer and industry specifications.
- Perform visual inspections and dimensional checks on products to identify defects, such as surface imperfections, warping, or incorrect measurements.
- Analyze production processes and identify areas for quality improvement in the extrusion lines.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality in the aluminium extrusion process.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
- Support the production team with technical guidance on quality-related matters during manufacturing.
- Ensure all products meet the relevant national or international quality standards for aluminium products.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Quality Engineer in the aluminium extrusion industry.
- Knowledge of quality standards, such as ISO 9001, and industry standards for aluminium products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions to improve quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with production teams, suppliers, and management.
