Senior Program Officer

1. To streamlined rollout of the ANC strengthening intervention and its day-to-day operations
at the district level and support scale-up of GDM services in the State.
2. Support maternal death surveillance and response process in the State.
3. Assists Program Manager to achieve project deliverables and timelines as per desired quality
and specifications.
4. Provide technical and programmatic support and guidance to district-level stakeholders
involved in Born Healthy to strengthen ANC.
5. Liaise and coordinate with the team to provide troubleshooting support in the district and at
the facility level.
6. Support testing, implementation, and documentation of technology solutions.
7. Take responsibility and accountability for ensuring issues are resolved or escalated to the
proper resources to resolve in a timely manner with minimum disruption to the operational
areas.
8. Assess and supervise the utilization of technology platforms within healthcare delivery
infrastructure in the state.

9. Support to organize and conduct virtual as well as in-person trainings, workshops, and onsite
coaching in consultation with the supervisor, this includes planning training schedules,
identifying trainers, monitoring training, and post-training follow-up.
10. Ensure timely collection, and collation of the program data and facilitate project activities
including workshop planning, logistics planning and management, travel arrangements, and
other activity support to ensure smooth implementation.
11. Support supervisor in the development of technical content required for the program and
travel when required to Districts in support of activity implementation and monitoring as
needed. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

MBBS/BAMS/Nursing with Indian / State Medical/Nursing Council registration is required. MD /
MPH/ Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Public Health, Pediatrics or Obstetrics is desirable.
5-7 years of experience of working with public health programs, especially in Reproductive and
Child Health and managing program implementation, is desirable. Specific experience in large
programs related to quality of care/ maternal & newborn health/ mental health and especially
maternal mental health will be preferred.
Experience of working with the National Health Mission at the project or State level is desirable.
Experience of conducting training, managing programs, and providing clinical support to public
health workers.
Good knowledge of the health sector and maternal and child health programs is essential.
Technical knowledge and field experience in health programs in maternal and newborn health.
Familiarity with the Indian health system, key stakeholders, and relevant government
policies/strategies particularly National Rural Health Mission would be advantageous.
