Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Team Supervision: Manage and supervise daily activities of the operations team, including warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators. Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to ensure efficient workflow and high morale.

Operational Efficiency: Monitor day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within the allocated resources. Implement and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Inventory and Warehouse Management: Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accurate stock levels, efficient storage, and order fulfillment. Ensure proper inventory control and minimize stock discrepancies.

Delivery Coordination: Coordinate and monitor the scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring that all transportation activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Compliance and Safety: Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure that all drivers and warehouse staff follow safe operating practices.

Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the performance of operational teams against key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Address any performance gaps or issues promptly.

Problem Resolution: Address operational issues, such as delays, discrepancies, and safety concerns, and take corrective action as needed. Act as the point of escalation for urgent issues within the operations team.

Training and Development: Provide training and mentorship to new hires and existing staff, ensuring they are well-informed of company procedures and standards. Identify skills gaps and support continuous improvement.

Customer Service: Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve any service-related issues and ensure that customer expectations are met in terms of delivery schedules, product quality, and service reliability.

Report Generation: Prepare regular reports on operational performance, staffing, inventory status, and incident logs for senior management. Provide recommendations for improvements based on data analysis.

Equipment and Fleet Management: Ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and facilities are maintained in good condition. Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and operational capacity to ensure they meet operational needs.

Cost Control: Assist in managing the operational budget and identify areas for cost savings and process optimization while maintaining service quality and operational standards




Preferred candidate profile


Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

years of experience in logistics operations, warehouse management, or a related field.

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, train, and supervise a team effectively.

Solid understanding of logistics, inventory control, transportation management, and warehouse operations.

Proficiency in using logistics management software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to address issues in a timely and professional manner.

Knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations relevant to logistics operations.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Certification in logistics, supply chain management, or safety (e.g., Six Sigma, OSHA, APICS).

Previous experience in supervising a team in a logistics or warehouse environment.

Experience with fleet management and route optimization.
