Job Title: Manager Finance & Accounts
Job Summary:
The Manager Fin & Accounts will oversee key accounting and financial compliance functions, finalization of accounts, insurance, control accounts, TDS, and specialized reporting tasks. The role ensures adherence to statutory compliance requirements, accurate financial reporting, and support for audits. The individual will also train and manage team members and liaise with external stakeholders for insurance and audit-related matters.
2. Finalization of Accounts
Allocate and monitor workflow for team members.
Consolidate financial requirements and cross-verify with Trial Balance (TB) for accuracy.
Prepare financial statements and submit them to auditors in the correct format.
Provide schedules for GST, accruals, provisions, and deposits to auditors.
The candidate should have total control over balance sheet items and must handled multiple Companies
3. Insurance Management
Maintain and update the checklist for insurance policies across Jeena & Group companies, ensuring timely renewals.
Negotiate with brokers for optimal premium rates and coverage.
Handle and follow up on insurance claims and related documentation.
Provide necessary supporting documents for claims.
4. Control Accounts
Consolidate and manage branch-related control accounts.
Analyze branchs control accounts and provide observations and feedback to branches.
Reconcile and finalize credit card control accounts to a zero balance before closure.
Liaising & monitoring shipping line credit and overdue pay, handled the credit line
5. Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)
Calculate and ensure monthly TDS compliance, aligning with Trial Balance (TB).
Compute TDS on expense provisions accurately ( Wherever required )
6. Reports and Special Tasks
Transition and provide interim MIS support during handover to branch accountants).
Training new accountants at branch level to ensure smooth integration into accounting operations.
Upload accurate CSVs from excel format to NetSuite. (FM System)
Reconcile and resolve open entries post-NetSuite implementation.
Assist the credit control team in resolving inter-branch and customer outstanding issues.
File and manage property-related documents
Visit branches in any case of exigency to realign any given issue at a given time.
Any other work allocated by the Superior on time to time basis
