Jeavio - Senior Software Engineer - DevOps (5-7 yrs)

Position Summary :

As a DevOps Technical Lead, you will manage and take ownership of our Jira ticket system, offer support and technical assistance to our team members and help maintain progress on our projects.

Also, will play a critical role in enhancing our development and operations processes, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

You will collaborate closely with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to streamline the deployment pipeline, automate manual tasks, and maintain high availability of our applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Managing the DevOps tickets in Jira, ensuring timely and efficient assignment, prioritization, and effort.

- Serve as an escalation point for technical team issues as needed.

- Track and monitor projects and help identify future DevOps projects and needs for our applications.

- Safeguard the stability and reliability of our systems by ensuring that changes to environments are meticulously planned and executed to prevent incidents that could disrupt our business operations.

- Collaborate with the security team to ensure the application and infrastructure are compliant with security best practices and regulations.

- Take charge of the seamless deployment and management of code changes, enabling a swift and dependable software release process.

- Develop comprehensive strategies for server patching and upgrades, meticulously defining and executing plans to maintain the health and security of our server infrastructure.

- Develop scripts and tools to facilitate operations, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and other DevOps engineers, to support their needs and requirements.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in CS, related disciplines, or equivalent work experience.

- Typically, 8+ years of relevant work experience.

- AWS platform knowledge.

- Comprehensive knowledge of one or more development / scripting languages e.g. , Shell Scripting, Python, GoLang, PHP.

- Linux operating system and good understanding of basics of TCP/IP, networking, and routing.
