Lead - Java Developer

Design and develop applications according to the business needs

• Work in an agile environment with strong commitment to team goals and demonstration of scrum values
• Involve in all phases of SDLC including proof of concept, prototype, technical design (high and low level), coding, unit testing, implementation
• Involve in high level project estimation and release planning
• Active participation in all Scrum ceremonies (Daily stand up, Sprint planning, Grooming, Sprint retrospective and Sprint reviews)
• Review technical design, code and business documentation
• Collaborate with the team for achieving sprint commitments, should take up any available task from the backlog in order to meet the sprint goal
• Exhibit strong debugging and analytical skills while resolving issues
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the team
• Mentor other developers in the team

• Ensure quality of deliverables by applying engineering practices such as TDD/BDD, Unit Testing and Automation Testing as needed
• Work closely with other developers, QAs, BAs, and Project Leader in a self-organized Agile team
• Work collaboratively with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Project Manager, Product Owner and other counterparts in the US or other countries as needed

Essential Qualifications

• Overall Software Development Life Cycle experience with solid experience as Java developer on enterprise level business web applications
• Strong background in OO design, development and best practices with focus on design and architecting capabilities
• Overall Software Development Life Cycle experience
• Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field from a reputed institute

Technology

• 6-8 years experience in Java, Springboot framework and Java-based Web application development with good database knowledge
  • Strong core Java, JEE and EJB experience
  • JEE Frameworks like Spring, Struts
• Working experience with HTML, CSS and Java Script
• Unit Testing with JUnits (QUnit knowledge would be an added advantage)
• Knowledge in Relational Database ( Postgres ), Dimensional Database, and SQL is a must have
• Must have worked on CICD environment (Git, Maven)

• Excellent communication (spoken and written English) and collaboration skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Zeal to explore and cross learn
• Openness to work on multiple technology stacks

Preferred Qualifications

• AngularJS
• Web-Services Development (REST and SOAP)
• Front end technologies like jQuery, Backbone, Angular
• JSON, XML, AJAX

• Experience in TDD (Test-Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development)
• Knowledge in financial services domain is an added advantage
• Any ETL experience would be an added advantage
