Job Description

The Director of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales plans, and leading the sales team to achieve the hotels revenue and profitability goals. This position requires a dynamic leader who can identify market opportunities, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.


Key Responsibilities


Sales Strategy and Planning

    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for rooms, events, and other hotel services.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Prepare and manage the annual sales budget and forecasts.

    • Team Leadership
    • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team to ensure high performance and motivation.
    • Set individual and team sales goals, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

    • Revenue Generation
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and other key segments.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, travel agencies, corporate clients, and other stakeholders.
    • Drive upselling initiatives and cross-promotional opportunities across hotel services

    • Collaboration and Coordination
    • Work closely with the Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to align sales strategies with overall hotel objectives.
    • Participate in planning and execution of promotional events, trade shows, and sales missions.
    • Ensure effective communication between sales and operational departments for seamless guest experiences

    • Reporting and Analysis
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, market share, and customer acquisition costs.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
    • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and industry regulations.
    • Adaptable to dynamic market conditions and competitive environments.
