SENIOR LECTURER

As a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Periodontics, you will play a key role in educating the next generation of dental professionals and advancing the field through research and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Teach and mentor students in the classroom, clinic, and laboratory settings
• Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and other educational content related to periodontics
• Supervise and evaluate students clinical skills and patient care
• Conduct research in the field of periodontics and publish scholarly articles in reputable journals
• Provide patient care in the form of periodontal diagnosis, treatment, and management
• Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the college to promote the growth and development of the department and college
• Serve on departmental, college, and university committees as assigned
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with advances in the field of periodontics

Qualifications:

• Post graduate degree (M.D.S)in Periodontics or equivalent qualification
• Certificate or advanced degree in Periodontics from an accredited program
• Current license to practice dentistry in the state or jurisdiction where the college is located
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching, research, and patient care in the field of periodontics
• Evidence of scholarly activity, such as publications in peer-reviewed journals or presentations at professional conferences
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
• Commitment to providing high-quality education, research, and patient care in the field of periodontics.
