Legal Associate

Job Responsibilities: -

• Litigation Management- All Medico-Legal Cases. All recovery matters, including u/s. 138 NI Act. Preparing of MIS reports on Litigation & its circulation. Co-ordinate between Outside Counsel & Units representative for legal matters.
• Contract Management- Legal Risk Analysis. Negotiations with parties. Drafting & Vetting of Contracts. Ensuring adoption of standard templates/agreements prepared by Corporate Legal. Implementing effective Legal Corporate Governance System.
• Compliance Management- Advising on interpretation of law on Statutory and Regulatory Compliances. Operational Advises on day-to-day legal issues in consultation with Head of department. Liaison with various Govt Departments regarding approvals & to ensure smooth function of the operations.
• Outside Counsel Management Liaison with Outside Counsels/Law Firms. Appearance in Courts to assist the Outside Counsels. Ensuring proper & smooth billings from and payments to Outside Counsels.
• Miscellaneous- Preparing of presentations on plans, strategies, in-house opinions. Setting up and Implementation of Document Management System. Visit to various courts/ tribunals/ other bodies (local & out of station).

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Proven experience as a Legal Advisor or in a similar legal role.
2. Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, labor law, and regulatory compliance.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong organizational and project management skills.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Law (LLB)

Experience in a corporate legal department or a law firm.

Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
