Qualification : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.

Reports to : Delivery Manager (Direct), Functional Team Lead - ELN Team (Indirect)

Experience : 5 - 8 years in Biovia ELN Development and software development in Laboratory Informatics projects, with experience in regulated environments.

Office Location : Indiranagar (Bangalore, Karnataka) - Remote Work Mode

Work Timing (PST hours) : 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM / 8:30 PM - 5:30 AM (IST)

Job Role :

The Principal ELN Team Lead / Principal Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing BIOVIA's Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) system within a pharmaceutical environment. This role involves software development using .Net, C#, and Python, ELN system configuration, database optimization, and laboratory instrument integration. The ideal candidate will also lead a team of developers, provide technical leadership, and design scalable, cost-effective solutions that meet both current and future business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop code using .Net, C#, and Python for BIOVIA ELN.

2. Perform unit testing and write periodic status/progress reports.

3. Configure laboratory information systems (LIMS).

4. Develop software functionalities, both simple and complex, with a well-defined scope.

5. Conduct peer reviews for coding standards, best practices, and error handling.

6. Write SQL queries based on relational database concepts and schema design.

7. Integrate laboratory instruments with scientific software.

8. Develop dynamic reports and break complex processes into smaller components.

9. Integrate scientific and non-scientific applications.

10. Participate in requirements analysis with client stakeholders and transform requirements into design solutions.

11. Design and develop reusable utility / library software.

12. Engineer cost-effective and extensible solutions for future enhancements.

13. Develop complex algorithms and software designs for large-scale projects.

14. Conduct architectural code and design evaluations.

15. Lead development teams and mentor team members.

16. Write system interfaces using pre-existing middleware.

17. Author System architecture and Deployment Plans.

18. Perform database optimization.

Required Skills:

1. Strong expertise in .Net, C#, and Python programming.

2. Hands-on experience in BIOVIA ELN Development. Knowledge of BIOVIA ELN SDK.

3. Strong logical and analytical thinking.
