Job Description :
As a Junior IT Manager specializing in OPERA PMS, you will be responsible for the efficient management, support, and optimization of the OPERA Property Management System used within our organization. You will provide technical support, conduct system troubleshooting, ensure proper functionality, and train hotel staff to enhance operational efficiency. The role requires you to collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure that our PMS runs smoothly and effectively at all times.
Key Responsibilities :
OPERA PMS System Support & Maintenance :
- Oversee the daily operations and performance of OPERA PMS, ensuring it meets the hotel's operational needs.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the OPERA PMS to ensure seamless functioning.
- Perform system backups, updates, and software patches for OPERA PMS.
- Conduct training sessions for hotel staff on OPERA PMS features, updates, and new functionalities.
- Provide technical support to hotel personnel on any issues related to OPERA PMS, ensuring a quick resolution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OPERA PMS-related inquiries.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or technical malfunctions in OPERA PMS, working closely with vendors if necessary.
- Provide immediate support for PMS errors to ensure minimal disruption to hotel operations.
System Integration & Updates :
- Ensure smooth integration of OPERA PMS with other hotel management systems and third-party software solutions.
- Perform regular software updates and patches for the OPERA PMS to ensure it is up-to-date with the latest functionalities.
Documentation & Reporting :
- Maintain detailed documentation of the OPERA PMS system configurations, user instructions, and troubleshooting logs.
- Prepare periodic reports regarding system performance, issues, and improvements.
Collaboration :
- Work closely with hotel departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, and Sales & Marketing to understand operational needs and ensure the PMS is configured accordingly.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new IT solutions or system upgrades.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience working with OPERA PMS or other similar hotel management systems.
Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in OPERA PMS, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking, database management, and IT systems administration.
- Experience in troubleshooting software and hardware-related issues.
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train non-technical users effectively.
- Attention to Detail : High attention to detail, ensuring precise and accurate system management.
- Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system operations.
- Experience with additional hospitality software or systems.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, server management, and cloud technologies.
- Certifications related to IT or hospitality systems (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).
- Knowledge of IT security best practices.
