Job Description
About the role
The Director of Information Technology will work closely with Director of Finance in administering all IT related maintenance and services contracts and take a leadership role in establishing scope of the maintenance and services contracts, contract negotiations and bidding process.
What you will do
- Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications and interfaces
- Responsible for network support & security of hotel network, Active Directory maintenance, Server Infrastructure maintenance, Network Infrastructure maintenance - wired & wireless, Network protection & failover tools implementation (Firewall, web security, multi-homing devices, etc)
- Reasonable cost analysis, cost management and budgeting.
- Ensure critical systems, specifically Front Office Property Management System, Call Accounting, HSIA, PABX and Food & Beverage Point of Sales computer systems are available twenty-four (24) hours per day.
- Maintain effective support for end user support process, other systems, including back office, sales & catering and human resources applications or any other property application.
- Maintain accurate records of system files, software and hardware issues and service requirements.
- Clear understanding of the purpose and reasons for internal controls.
- Maintain and promote Four Seasons core technology standards as outlined in the Four Seasons IT Core Standards notes database.
- Understand and familiar with hotel quality standards and service standards.
- Strong commitment to service.
What you bring
- Experience working in hotels is considered an asset Negotiate and execute computer and data communications contracts to ensure compliance with their requirements.
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills and a team player with high energy levels to work with cross-functional teams.
- Technical background, MCSE or strong networking skills.
- Pro-active and inquisitive mind set to develop problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and strategic thinking skills
- A working technical knowledge of hotel systems and operations.
- Strong Communication skills and an eye for attention to detail
- Good command over English Language
- Knowledge and connection to global VPN and other communication tools
- Background in Luxury Resort and Hotel considered an asset
