Azure Architect

Job Overview: As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will play a critical role in driving our clients cloud strategies, providing architectural guidance, and ensuring the successful delivery of Azure-based solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to design scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud adoption and migration strategies, including architecture, security, governance, and operational best practices.
• Develop cloud architecture blueprints and design scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Provide expertise in Azure infrastructure services, such as Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, and Identity Management.
• Lead the integration of Azure solutions with on-premises infrastructure, third-party tools, and other cloud environments.
• Ensure that the designed solutions follow industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and security standards.
• Offer guidance on Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Containers, Kubernetes, Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, and more.
• Conduct performance assessments, optimize cloud infrastructure, and advise on cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automation and CI/CD pipelines in Azure environments.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and provide thought leadership in the Azure space.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services and architecture best practices (e. g. , Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory, Azure Functions, etc. ).
• Proven experience in designing and deploying large-scale cloud solutions.
• Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and experience implementing secure cloud architectures.
• Proficient in Azure governance, cost management, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in the cloud environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Azure certifications (e. g. , Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of database services such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including VPN, load balancing, and firewalls in the cloud.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
