iSteer - Senior APIGEE Developer - Red Hat/OpenShift (5-7 yrs)

Job Summary :

- We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Apigee Developer with extensive experience in API management and integration.

- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Apigee and a deep understanding of API lifecycle management, security, and performance optimization.

- This role requires expertise in API design, backend integration, and cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement API solutions using Google Apigee.

- Manage API lifecycle, including monetization, product catalogs, and developer portal management.

- Configure and maintain Apigee Runtime Engine and integrate with Google Anthos.

- Set up API security policies, including OAuth, JWT, and API key-based authentication.

- Work with RESTful APIs, microservices, and web services to ensure seamless integration.

- Implement API traffic management, rate limiting, and caching strategies.

- Ensure high performance and security of APIs through monitoring and optimization.

- Troubleshoot API issues, debug traffic flows, and analyze logs for problem resolution.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API architecture and governance.

- Integrate APIs with various backend systems using queue-based, file-based, and API-based integration methods.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of development experience with Google Apigee.

- Deep understanding of API Management concepts, including API products, catalogs, plans, and monetization.

- Hands-on experience with Apigee API Manager, Developer Portal, and Developer Toolkit.

- Expertise in HTTP/HTTPS protocols, request/response handling, and API security best practices.

- Proficiency in JSON, XML, XPath, RegEx, and CRUD operations.

- Strong experience with SOAP and REST APIs.

- Knowledge of queue-based, API-based, and file-based integration methods.

- Ability to troubleshoot API issues using logs, analytics, and debugging tools.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Experience with Kubernetes/Docker for containerized deployments.

- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift for cloud-based API hosting.

- Exposure to UI design technologies like Drupal for managing developer portals
