Assembly Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to oversee assembly shop operations in our company. The ideal candidate Should have in-depth knowledge of assembly shop operations, excellent interpretive skills for engineering drawings, and experience with Lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure designs meet structural, functional, and safety requirements.

2. Plan and manage production, including capacity requirements, shop layouts, assembly planning, and manpower allocation.

3. Utilize SAP to read and understand drawings, manage inventory, and track production.

4. Prepare and maintain MIS reports to track production performance.

5. Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) by coordinating shop floor activities and optimizing production workflows.

6. Implement Lean manufacturing principles, including process control, inventory utilization, and control.

7. Develop and implement new processes and toolings to improve efficiency and productivity.

8. Apply Lean techniques, 5S methodologies, and other best manufacturing practices to drive continuous improvement.

9.Familiarity with VSM (Value Stream Mapping) processes.

10.Hands-on experience with shop layouts, assembly planning, and manpower allocation techniques.
