Assistant Manager - Assembly Production

Role Purpose:

Lead production Team Leaders & the blue collar employees to execute the production as per the monthly targets and metrics.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience Range : 08-12 Years
• Qualifications : DME or B.E Mechanical Engineering
• Preferred Industry : Appliances / Automobile / Engineering / Electrical / Auto Ancillary / Plastics
• Hands on experience in manufacturing of appliances, electronics, electrical or similar industries.

- Compatibility to handle 250 members

- Jigs & Fixtures (Mechanical) / PLC (Electrical)

- Problem Solving ability

- ERP exposure

- Stakeholder management

- Lean Basics

• Knowledge of, 4M, production process, efficiency, capacity utilization, Automation & Industrial engineering and lean manufacturing.
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Hands on experience in assembly lines in Labour intensive manufacturing environment.

Role & responsibilities:

• Design and execute safe work practices, procedures to maintain an accident & incident free environment.
• Shift Management (MG Line and Motor Line)
• Execute production schedules as per the PPC plans & Seamlessly Manage the changeovers.
• Maximize effectiveness of production team, equipment and materials.
• Develop skills and evaluate production team at all levels.
• Ensure safe work environment through implementation of safety awareness programs.
• Introduce new procedures and processes to improve Teams productivity, morale and efficiency.
• Interpret and develop reports including standard operating procedures.
• Enforce 6s, Lean manufacturing , Kaizen / suggestion scheme, Poka-Yoke for continual improvement.
• Adherence of various systems & documentation requirements of the Company.
• Facilitating the implementation of kaizen ideas, Poka-yoke and automation in manufacturing.
• Plan and optimize the utilization levels at its best (Man, material etc) to achieve the cost.
• Motivate & coordinate with other teams like stores, purchase PPC etc. for smooth operations.

Key deliverables for the role:

• On-time in-full (OTIF)
• OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Rolled throughput yield (RTY)
