Job Description
- Analyze and understand existing VB and .Net codebases used in the on-premises environment.
- Refactor and optimize VB and .Net code for improved performance and cloud-native deployment.
- Collaborate with Sr. Cloud Engineer/DevOps to understand cloud architecture and best practices for .Net applications.
- Identify and address potential compatibility issues during the migration process.
- Write unit tests to ensure code quality and functionality after migration.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining VB and .Net applications.
- Strong understanding of the .Net framework, VB programming language, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with cloud concepts (AWS preferred) is a plus.
- Familiarity with web development technologies (ASP.Net MVC/Web Forms) is a plus.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
