L2/L3 Protocol Development Engineer (Urgent Requirement)

Role Overview

As an L2/L3 Protocol Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols. This challenging and rewarding position demands deep expertise in industry-standard protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and BGP-Flowspec, combined with robust hands-on programming proficiency in C programming and a strong grasp of data structures.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement L2 and L3 networking protocols with a focus on OSPF, BGP, and BGP-Flowspec.
• Optimize protocol performance and troubleshoot issues during development and integration phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Develop efficient and scalable solutions for routing and switching functionalities.
• Document designs, technical specifications, and project outcomes for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Preferred candidate profile

• Protocols Expertise: Proficiency in OSPF, BGP, and BGP-Flowspec. Additional knowledge of other routing protocols is a plus.
• Programming Skills: Strong experience in C programming with a solid understanding of data structures.
• Networking Knowledge: Sound understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and protocols.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in networking (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) will be an added advantage.
