Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Kong Platform Developer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in API management and development to join us immediately. Candidates with APIGEE experience will also be considered. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced API gateway solutions and contribute to the design and implementation of robust API architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain APIs using the Kong API Gateway platform.

- Implement API lifecycle management, including creation, versioning, and deprecation.

- Configure and customize Kong plugins for authentication, rate-limiting, caching, and other middleware needs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with backend services and applications.

- Optimize API performance and ensure scalability, security, and reliability.

- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Kong platform deployments.

- Document API architecture and processes to ensure seamless handoffs and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum of 3 years in API development and management.

- Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway is a must.

- Experience with APIGEE or other API gateways will also be considered.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in API design standards such as REST and GraphQL.

- Knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or Lua (used in Kong).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

- Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and API Key Management.

General Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Prerequisites :

- Must provide valid proof of experience (e.g., PF account, Form 16, relieving letters, etc.).

- Must have completed a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, IT).
