We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Chromebook Management Specialist to join our IT team. This role involves managing and supporting the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Chromebooks across the organization. You will work closely with end-users, IT staff, and administrators to ensure the smooth operation and security of Chromebook devices, optimizing them for educational or business purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deployment & Setup: Oversee the deployment and configuration of new Chromebooks, ensuring proper setup, integration with the companys network, and compliance with security policies.
Device Management: Manage and maintain a fleet of Chromebooks using Google Admin Console or other device management tools to configure, monitor, and enforce security policies.
User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to Chromebook functionality, software, and user accounts. Ensure quick resolutions for any device-related issues.
Security & Compliance: Implement security measures, such as device encryption, password policies, and remote wiping, to ensure the security of all devices. Stay current with the latest security trends and threats related to Chrome OS.
Software & App Management: Install, update, and manage applications on Chromebooks to ensure that the necessary software is accessible and up-to-date for users. Oversee the integration of third-party apps and services.
Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly monitor the health and performance of Chromebooks using management tools. Provide reports on device usage, performance, and any issues that need addressing.
Inventory Management: Track and manage the inventory of Chromebooks, including assigning devices to users, managing replacements, and maintaining records of hardware status.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Perform troubleshooting for device issues and coordinate repairs or replacements with appropriate vendors or internal teams. Ensure minimal downtime for end-users.
Training & Documentation: Provide training sessions for users on Chromebook features and best practices. Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for device configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as the IT team and department heads, to understand the specific needs of Chromebook users and ensure that the devices are meeting operational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
