Job Description

This entry-level role serves as the first line of defense in maintaining our IT infrastructure. The candidate will provide daily support and troubleshooting for a diverse range of systems—including Active Directory, Docker, DNS, IIS, SQL databases (SQLDB, MariaDB, MySQL), Windows Server, Redhat Linux, and backup solutions—ensuring the seamless operation of our technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Active Directory (AD)

• Manage user account creation, password resets, and group policy configurations
• Provide basic support and troubleshooting for authentication and access issues

Docker

• Assist in the deployment and monitoring of containerized applications
• Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting to ensure container health.

DNS

• Support configuration and management of DNS records.
• Troubleshoot and resolve domain name resolution issues.

IIS (Internet Information Services)

• Monitor and maintain IIS web servers
• Address basic issues related to web hosting and application availability.

SQL Databases (SQLDB, MariaDB, MySQL)

• Assist in routine database maintenance and performance monitoring
• Help with basic query troubleshooting and support scheduled backups.

Windows Server

• Perform daily monitoring, patching, and updates.
• Provide first-level support for server-related incidents and escalate when necessary.

Redhat Linux

• Carry out routine system checks, updates, and maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot common Linux issues under the guidance of senior administrators.

Backup Solutions

• Execute and monitor backup procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Assist in recovery operations as needed and verify the success of backup processes.

General IT Support

• Serve as the initial point of contact for technical issues, logging incidents and providing resolutions where possible.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 support teams following established protocols.
• The role is primarily office-based, with occasional remote support responsibilities. It may require after-hours support during system emergencies or scheduled maintenance windows.
• This Level 1 position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a solid foundation in IT infrastructure management and grow within a dynamic technical team.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Basic experience with AD, Docker, DNS, IIS, SQL databases, Windows Server, and Redhat Linux.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery processes.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to document issues, resolutions, and system changes accurately.
