Sr. Software Development Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, design solutions, and develop Python-based web applications.
• Write efficient, reusable, and testable code using Python programming language.
• Develop and maintain web applications using popular Python web frameworks, such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Integrate data storage solutions using databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs to enhance application functionality.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Manage deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows using AWS services like CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudWatch and CloudFormation templates.
• Optimize application performance and scalability using AWS tools and services, such as EC2, Lambda, and S3.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements to enhance development processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to deliver projects on time.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Python Developer, preferably in a software consulting or web development environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
• Experience working with Python web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Solid understanding of web development concepts, including HTTP, RESTful APIs, and front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular.
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools like AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Experience with the version control system Git.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
