Purchase Executive

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchase Executive to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in the procurement of materials and components for X-ray manufacturing or related industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase of materials, components, and supplies for our radiology company, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods required for the manufacturing of X-ray equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Management:
  
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for mechanical components and materials used in X-ray manufacturing.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery times, and compliance with contractual terms.
• Procurement Planning and Execution:
  
• Coordinate with the production and engineering teams to forecast material requirements.
• Prepare and process purchase orders for required materials, components, and supplies.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
• Cost Management:
  
• Assist in managing procurement budgets by tracking spending and ensuring that purchases stay within the allocated cost limits.
• Evaluate market trends and negotiate competitive pricing to achieve cost savings without compromising on quality.
• Quality Control and Compliance:
  
• Ensure all purchased materials meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations, particularly for medical equipment manufacturing.
• Coordinate with the quality control team to resolve any quality-related issues with suppliers.
• Inventory Management:
  
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability to prevent production delays.
• Work with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient material storage and distribution.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  
• Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Generate reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance for management review.
• Collaboration:
  
• Work closely with engineering, production, and R&D teams to understand evolving requirements and ensure seamless procurement.
• Support cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve procurement-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on manufacturing or mechanical components, preferably in the medical equipment or radiology industry.
• Skills & Competencies:
  
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost negotiation.
• Knowledge of X-ray manufacturing components, materials, and regulations in the medical equipment industry is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the procurement of medical-grade components or materials.
