Automation Test Engineer || Cypress

We are looking for a skilled Cypress Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, API testing, Agile methodologies, and defect tracking tools like Jira. Experience with Selenium is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Perform API testing using tools like Cypress, Postman, or other frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define test scenarios and ensure software quality.
• Implement test automation strategies and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Debug and troubleshoot test failures and report issues using Jira.
• Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
• Stay updated with the latest Cypress features and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in test automation, specifically with Cypress.
• Programming: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of UI testing, API testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Version Control: Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• CI/CD: Hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Test Management: Experience using Jira for defect tracking and test case management.
• Web Technologies: Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation.
• Debugging: Experience in debugging issues using browser dev tools and logs.
• Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
