Network Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Network Security Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and support advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), VPNs, load balancers, and other security appliances.
• Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Respond to network security incidents, including analysis and remediation of threats. Resolve complex security-related issues escalated from L1 and L2 teams.
• Security Monitoring & Analysis: Perform continuous monitoring of network security systems to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities. Use SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools to analyze logs and generate reports.
• Vulnerability Management: Identify vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure and provide recommendations for patch management, network hardening, and threat mitigation.
• Collaboration & Support: Provide guidance and support to L1 and L2 teams, ensuring that best practices for network security are followed. Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional projects and network architecture improvements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update network security documentation, including network diagrams, security configurations, and incident reports. Prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure that network security policies and procedures are in compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Security Audits & Risk Assessment: Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to ensure the robustness of network security measures. Recommend and implement improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network security, with at least 3 years in an L3 or senior role.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPN technologies, and network encryption.
• Hands-on experience with network security tools (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.).
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, Azure sentinel, etc.) for security monitoring and incident response.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with security incident response.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO, etc.).
• Certification such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or similar is highly desirable

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with cloud security and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).

• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (Python, Ansible, etc.) for security tasks.

• Experience with security in SD-WAN, DNS security, and other advanced security technologies.
