Senior Advisor, Data Engineering

• The Data Custodian I (information custodian) is responsible for the curation of Dell Digital Data within assigned data structures in Dell Digital Platforms supporting specific business function(s)
• The Data Custodian 1 will review, audit, report through and update required dashboards, provide metrics for management review documentation on the Data under their responsibility
• Data Custodians are responsible for adherence to the EBI Data Quality policies and standards
• Specific duties include:Responsibilities Operational measurement of integrity, availability of data, data catalogue and KPI s of data quality, integrity and accessibility for authorized stakeholders and systems
• Review Data Structures against security and privacy policies and produce reports for review of compliance, flag non-conformances Review access, access controls and accessibility issues for stakeholders and systems to curated data structures
• Respond to stakeholder or system failures for access
• Coordinate efforts for establishing or correcting access to data structures according to EBI policies
• Review, flag and recommend corrections to catalogue and data classification for data structures under custodial management
• Update and maintain data catalogue for assigned systems and tables Audit and report on data structures against EBI and Dell Governance

Requirements

• Update KPI s and measures for data quality Management Review Update data quality dashboards and compliance dashboards relevant to their custodial data systems
• Flag and report data errors including prioritization and tracking history and age Track corrective actions recommended to improve data quality and compliance
• Knowledge Knowledge of data structures, tables and elements within structured tables including but not limited to Teradata, SQL, Greenplum and Hadoop
• Understanding of database queries and evaluation of Metadata within data tables
• Able to leverage and understand tools for data and quality characterization including Collibra, Informatic and other data visualization tools
• Knowledge of data reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
• Data validation and report generation General statistics

Skills

• SQL and query writing within structured tables across a variety of platforms 5+ years of ETL/ELT Development experience using Informatica tool
• 3+ years of experience in Data processing using Python, Spark, Scala Analysis and statistical models within validation and forecasting Technical writing and report generation Dashboard design and reporting of quantitative information
• Presentation skills-both visual and written
• Experience Task completion and project updates within Agile or similar framework Data query and database support within structured tables
• Quality assurance or validation experience for data and data transfers
• Dashboard updates and Dashboard development Report completion for KPI s, management updates and routine operational reports
• Work experience within data framework that involves multiple stakeholders and data classification ranging from low risk to highly restrictive in relation to security and privac
