Node.js Developer

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Node.js engineers with experience in building and optimizing RESTful APIs, designing and implementing server-side logic and architecture, and developing secure and scalable applications for enterprise solutions. As a Node.js Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing our insurance domain products and applications for customers in the insurance space, ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless integrations.

You will collaborate with front-end teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, integrate databases (SQL or NoSQL), debug and resolve technical issues to maintain application performance, and leverage cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deployment.

Role & responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
2. Build and optimize APIs for our insurance products and solution accelerators
3. Collaborate with front-end developers to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
4. Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following industry best practices.
5. Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of the backend systems.
6. Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of the products.
7. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating them into the development process where relevant.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 3-5 Years of relevant experience
2. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with Node.js.
3. Understanding of server-side development and asynchronous programming.
4. Experience with API development and integration (REST, GraphQL preferred).
5. Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
6. Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
7. Unit testing of Node projects using frameworks like Jasmine, Mocha, Chai, etc.
8. Experience in encryption algorithms like AES, etc.
9. Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
10. Handling of JSON and XML data in MS SQL Server
11. Added advantage: experience in various templating engines like Nunjucks, EJS etc.
12. Experience in handling security best practices for preventing SQL Injection, XSS/CSRF prevention
13. Experience in working on cache engines like Redis
14. Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).
15. Experience with version control systems like Git.
16. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
17. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications

1. Should be a B.E/ B.Tech /M.C.A with excellent academic record
2. 3-5 Years of relevant experience
3. Experience in developing enterprise-grade applications, especially in the insurance or financial services domain.
4. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
6. Understanding of security best practices in API and server-side development.
