Position Summary -
Indus Action is looking for aManager/Senior Manager who can work with the Directorate of School Educationand Literacy (DSEL), Deptt. Of School Education, Govt. of Meghalya and drive theimplementation of RTE 12(1)(c) in the state and ensure that children fromvulnerable backgrounds can access quality education in private schools. Aminimum of 2 years of commitment is expected from the person. TheManager/Senior Manager will ensure technical support to the Department in thepolicy, process formulation and day-to-day execution support.
Role and Responsibilities (including KRAs)
As a Manager/Sr. Manager, you will beresponsible for the following:
\u25CF Set up or improvise the MIS system and use technology toensure smooth policy implementation.
\u25CF Lead operations in the state and ensuring
\u25CB An increase in awareness levels of communities
\u25CB An increase in the fill rate with the goal of 50% over 2years.
\u25CB Improvement in efficiency of implementation
\u25CF Analyse RTE Sec 12(1)(c) implementation challenges withina state and provide customized solutions by working with the government,communities, and other non-government and private organisations. You willdesign these solutions with your expertise and existing Indus Action expertiseand experiences.
\u25CF Actively contribute through a network of partners to raisethe general discourse in the country around Section 12(1)(c)
\u25CF Manage operations (Designing and conducting campaigns,setting processes with government, application center management, lottery,admissions, grievance redressal etc.) within the budget allocated and ensure that the goals are achieved withrespect to the number of applications and enrollments and all other projects asapplicable.
\u25CF Plan and initiate the implementation of the SchoolReadiness Program in consultation with the central IA team.
\u25CF Support the work with thedifferent departments like Panchayat and Rural Development, Labour, Health andFamily Welfare, as the organisation is interacting with them to continue theongoing work and build upon it through new partnerships as needed.

A) Stakeholder Management (Below skillsare preferred, but not compulsory):
\u25CF Has led and managed a team of 3+ people through a project for 1+ year(specially for the Sr. Manager position)
\u25CF Partnered with the government andbuilt relations across levels (BDO, SPD, PS etc) to drive large-scale projectsfor 1+ year
\u25CF Has driven/been part of projects centered aroundunderserved parents or children or teachers/schools for 2+ years.
B) Project Management
\u25CF End-to-end project management anddelivery experience for 2+years
\u25CF Should be well versed with principles of designingthinking, planning and execution, budget management, quality control andmonitoring and evaluation
C) Data & Technology
\u25CF Capable of understandingtechnology (product, not code) used to set up MIS system and envisioning thescope that technology can play to make the implementation smoother
\u25CF Strong analytical skills to create strategies, analyzedata and make logical decisions.

Education and Experience -
\u25CF The applicant must be a graduatewith at least 2-5 years of work experience, preferably in the social sector.
\u25CF Applicants with at least one ofthe following fellowship experiences (TFI / GandhiFellowship / PMRDF / Acumen / Innovation Corps/Ashoka/CM Fellowship/CMGGA, etc.) willbe given preference.
\u25CF A strong local understanding of language, culture andterrain and willingness to work there.
Compensation
The candidate will be compensated based on theIndus Action\u2019s compensation benchmarking rubric.
The candidate would need to use his/her ownlaptop and the organisation will bear the annual maintenance cost up to INR12,000 per year as per actuals.
