Plant Manager

As the Factory/Plant Head, you will serve as a strategic leader, responsible for driving production strategies, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, overseeing budget management, and leading a multidisciplinary team of professionals across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the liquor manufacturing plant, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
• Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and other resources.
• Implement best practices in production and continually seek ways to reduce waste and enhance productivity.

Production Planning and Strategy:

• Develop and implement production plans that align with business goals and customer demand.
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to set strategic priorities and long-term goals for the facility.
• Forecast future production needs and ensure the plant is equipped to meet growing demand.
• Lead capacity planning initiatives and support expansion or modernization projects as needed.

Quality Assurance and Control:

• Ensure that all production processes comply with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Oversee quality control processes to maintain the highest product standards.
• Manage audits and inspections, ensuring the plant adheres to ISO standards and industry-specific regulations.

Compliance and Regulatory Management:

• Ensure the plant complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, safety, and alcohol production laws.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage licensing requirements, certifications, and audits.
• Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards in all areas of production, storage, and distribution.

Financial and Budgetary Oversight:

• Develop and manage the plants budget, ensuring cost controls and resource optimization.
• Monitor financial performance and report on key operational metrics (KPIs) such as production costs, labor costs, and profit margins.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality and safety standards.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team.
• Develop talent pipelines and succession planning strategies to ensure workforce sustainability.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.

Health and Safety Management:

• Promote a culture of safety across the facility, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and continuously improved.
• Oversee the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs and regular safety drills.
• Ensure the plant is equipped with the necessary safety equipment and that all workers are properly trained in its use.

Stakeholder Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, regulatory authorities, and the local community.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all plant-related queries and negotiations.

What are we looking for

• Qualification: Engineering Background (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics)
• Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in handling and managing Plant operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse, and intense environment.
• Creative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage complex operations and large teams.
• Experience in the Beverage industry is a must
