Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, performance, reliability, and stress testing.
- Design and implement automated test suites using scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.) and test automation frameworks.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
- Execute tests manually and/or using automated tools.
- Analyze test results, identify and document defects, and track them through resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Set up and maintain test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to test environments.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of the latest testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to ensure timely and effective product releases.
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure testability and quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 4+ years of experience in embedded systems testing.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems concepts, including hardware and software interactions.
- Experience with testing embedded devices such as [List specific devices, e.g, microcontrollers, microprocessors, IoT devices, automotive systems].
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.) and test automation frameworks.
- Experience with various testing methodologies (e.g, unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g, Jira, Bugzilla).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g, Git).
Desired Skills & Qualifications :
- Experience with specific testing tools (e.g, CANalyzer, VectorCAST, LDRA Testbed).
- Experience with specific communication protocols (e.g, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g, Agile, Scrum).
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
