About The Role : 

The Major Incident Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the response to critical incidents that have a significant impact on business operations. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication, and implementing incident management best practices to minimize the impact of disruptions.

1. Incident Identification and Assessment:
  • Rapidly assess and identify major incidents, classifying their impact and urgency.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to gather information and understand the scope of the incident.


  •  

    Primary Skills 

    1. Incident Coordination:
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams during the resolution of major incidents.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to address critical issues promptly.
  • Maintain a centralized incident log and track resolution progress.

  • 2. Communication:
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including executives, IT teams, and end-users.
  • Provide regular updates on the incident status, resolution progress, and expected timelines.

  • 3. Root Cause Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis for major incidents to prevent recurrence.
  • Work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions and improvements.

    1. Documentation:
  • Document incident details, resolution processes, and post-incident reports.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of incident management procedures.

  • 2. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement in incident management processes.
