Contracts Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Contract Management & Administration

• Review, draft, and manage contracts related to road and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Maintain a database of contract documents, amendments, and correspondence.
• Track contract milestones, obligations, and deliverables to ensure compliance.

2. Tendering & Procurement Support

• Assist in preparing and reviewing tender documents, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Evaluate contract terms and conditions before finalizing agreements with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Support the procurement team in negotiating contract terms with third parties.

3. Risk Assessment & Compliance

• Identify and mitigate contractual risks in road and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure adherence to government regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.

4. Claims & Dispute Resolution

• Assist in preparing and reviewing claims related to delays, variations, and cost escalations.
• Support dispute resolution by compiling necessary documentation and coordinating with legal teams.

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with project managers, legal teams, and procurement teams to streamline contract execution.
• Prepare periodic reports on contract status, risks, and key contractual matters.
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of contractual communications.

Preferred candidate profile

2 to 3 years of experience in contract management within the road and infrastructure sector.
