Contracts Engineer/Sr Contracts Engineer

Job summary:

The Contracts Engineer ensures that all the Contractual matters (correspondences, supplementary agreements, sub-contract agreements, claims related to the project are in strict compliance with the Conditions of Contract.

Position Requirements:

Recognized Degree/diploma in civil engineering with minimum 2 years of experience

To be mature and maintain strict confidentiality

The responsibilities involve in assisting the GM contracts in tender contract condition, evaluation, obtaining Management Approvals, Award and Management of these Contracts till closeout. To ensure compliance of company policy for tenders/ contracts. Check for the contractual relevance as per conditions of contract. Adherence to the FIDIC conditions of subcontracting works if applicable.

Specific Duties

• Contract pre-start meetings
• To check for ambiguity or discrepancies found in the Tender documents if so escalating it to the GM contracts in order to resolve it.
• Assist the GM Contracts in preparing contract review matrices.
• Preparation of time and cost claims
• Adherence to FIDIC conditions for subcontracting works and implementing the same if applicable
• To liaise with various departments like cost control and purchase for preparing claims.
• To coordinate with project mangers and site engineers in case of any contractual issues arising in the site and addressing those issues with relevant evidences and proofs.
• Close coordination with tendering marketing and procurement departments for contractual issues.
• To prepare monthly report on contracts
• To prepare variation logs and periodic updates
• Follow up for monthly project invoices and payment dues
• Prepare all contractual correspondences related to the projects.
• Review the various contractual guarantees
• To control all the incoming and outgoing correspondences.
