Our Client is an AI InsureTech product company, headquartered in London UK. Their AI powered enterprise platform enables insurance companies the flexibility to scale capacity as needed, safely, securely, efficiently and at speed. Intelligent and flexible, tool understands global insurance processing challenges, and seamlessly solves them.
Job Overview:
- India Operations Director Reports to Head of Client Delivery in HQ.
- Location: Hybrid - India center is based in Bengaluru.
- Experience: 10 to 14 years of experience with at least 3-5 years in leadership role, with a strong background in insurance, (re)insurance and managing teams.
- We are looking for an experienced Operations Director with expertise in global P&C Commercial & Specialty (re)insurance market, with specific expertise in UK Market and the US.
- This role will be responsible to lead and manage a high-performing operations team within our tech-driven company. He or she will lead the operations team to ensure we meet our client commitments.
- The ideal candidate will combine deep industry knowledge of (re)Insurance and a proven ability driving the performance of the operational team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the operations team to ensure seamless day-to-day processes.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure all team members are well-versed in P&C insurance, (re)insurance processes, and our platform.
- Create mentorship opportunities and ensure employee upskilling in P&C insurance (re)insurance and enhanced platform features.
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support team growth through continuous learning and development initiatives.
- Support service transitions, through understanding the client needs (via the client delivery team) and supporting translating these into activities for the Operations team to deliver against.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
- Lead the strategic direction for the department and ensure alignment with the company's growth objectives. Take ownership in ensuring key KPIs are met, develop and monitor operational metrics to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate closely with the tech and product development teams to build, implement, and improve our platform and ensure that technical solutions proposed align with business needs.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in P&C insurance, (re)insurance, and insure-tech innovations, bringing forward ideas for innovation and strategic change.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance and (re)insurance.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality results within time constraints.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with a strong ability to train and develop teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel.
- Promote and foster collaboration and engagement with all team members.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in insurance/risk management or relevant field.
- Professional certification in insurance field preferred.
- Expert in collaboration across locations and time-zones and open to manage teams working in rotational shifts (Asia/UK/US time zone).
- Experience in large corporate environments desirable.
- Manage team size of 100 - 150 FTEs.
