Associate Director/Director - Operations - Private Equity/Management Consulting Firm (10-12 yrs)

Job Purpose:

The Director of Operations will play a critical role in driving operational strategies and execution across our portfolio companies. This position will work closely with the Operating Partner and cross-functional teams to ensure that each investment maximizes its potential by deploying best-in-class operational frameworks and execution plans. The Director of Operations will also help identify operational risks, opportunities for scaling, and pathways for achieving operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy & Execution:

- Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies for portfolio companies, aligned with their business goals.

- Lead the integration of operational initiatives across investee companies to drive scalability, process optimization, and profitability.

- Work closely with the Operating Partner to identify and prioritize operational improvements.

- Oversee the development of operating metrics and performance dashboards for portfolio companies.

Portfolio Management & Support:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues within the portfolio, helping companies troubleshoot and navigate complex operational challenges.

- Drive due diligence on operational aspects of potential investments, including assessing the operational capacity, systems, and leadership teams of target companies.

- Build operational excellence by facilitating knowledge sharing, best practices, and playbooks across the portfolio.

Stakeholder Management:

- Collaborate with management teams, external partners, and vendors to implement operational strategies and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.

Risk Management & Compliance:

- Ensure that all portfolio companies maintain operational compliance with SEBI regulations and other applicable industry standards.

- Proactively identify operational risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within private equity, investment funds, or management consulting.

- Proven track record of driving operational improvements and delivering business transformation.

- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and diverse teams.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to execution.

- Deep understanding of the Indian regulatory environment, especially SEBI regulations.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skill.
