Job Description
- Tax Filings and Compliance:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of tax filings including GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of returns and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and implement necessary changes in processes.
- Payroll Management:
- Handle payroll processing ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage Provident Fund (PF) and Employee State Insurance (ESI) contributions and filings.
- Accounts Receivable and Payable:
- Oversee the invoicing process and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Manage vendor payments and ensure all accounts payable are processed accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Financial Reporting and Reconciliation:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Perform regular reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Invoicing and Collections:
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to clients and follow up on collections.
- Manage relationships with clients to facilitate prompt payment.
- Vendor Payments:
- Manage the end-to-end process of vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain good relationships with vendors and resolve any payment-related issues
Qualifications:
- MBA or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting and tax, with specific experience in tax filings, GST, compliance, PF, and TDS in India.
- Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations.
- Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or CPA would be a good to have but not mandatory
- Experience with financial software such as Zoho, QuickBook
