Director-Finance

Role & responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis:
• Develop and execute long-term financial plans and budgets, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
• Conduct financial forecasting and analysis, including revenue projections, expense budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities and risks.
• Financial Management:
• Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and investments, optimizing working capital and maximizing returns.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures.
• Oversee the annual audit process.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and assess financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and regulatory risk.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and protect the company's assets.
• Manage insurance programs and other risk mitigation measures.
• Strategic Guidance:
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management on key business decisions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, and new product development.
• Support business development initiatives by conducting financial due diligence and evaluating potential investments.
• Advise on pricing strategies, cost optimization opportunities, and other financial initiatives.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
• Oversee the performance management process for the finance team, providing regular feedback and coaching.
• Build strong relationships with other departments within the organization.
• Compliance and Regulatory:
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and legal requirements.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other financial institutions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• MBA or Master's in Finance preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Experience in the IT industry is highly preferred.

Good to have

• CPA or CFA certification.
• Experience with international financial reporting and compliance.
