Senior Engineer - Design & Engineering Team

Role & responsibilities:

• Develops test plans in accordance with applicable IEC standards. Creates validation requirements, plans for assembly and finalize test parameters.
• Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment of standard practices. Assesses test results, root cause analysis through test findings/failures and takes corrective actions.
• Identify cost out opportunities in operating mechanism through benchmarking, teardown, competitor analysis and study of applicable standards
• Coordinate with Global stakeholders and Drive project execution through Design, testing and implementation phase.
• Performs project management role from design to implementation; communicates expectations, plans, and requirements and coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects
• Should have knowledge of all mechanical manufacturing process e.g. welding, machining.
• Work closely with global teams to develop and implement growth strategies and technical road maps for proactively influencing and providing differentiated solutions.

Experience:

3 to 10 Years related Design & development/Validation-Operating Mechanism used in HV/MV Switchgear.

Qualification:

BE / B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering)

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and time management skill and ability to prepare comprehensive reports,
• Proposals/Project plan & Validation requirements.
• Proven track record of delivering projects in complex multicultural settings.
• Exposure to 2-D and 3-D CAD software packages
• Exposure to SAP & PLM will be extra advantage.
