JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LEAD ENGINEER FOR SECONDARY ENGINEERING

(SUBSTATION DESIGN ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE IS MUST)

General Information

• Position Title :- Manager / Sr. Manager
• Position reporting to whom :- Reporting to HOD, System Engineering Deptt.

• Who will reporting this position :- 6 8 Engineers
• Base Location of this Position :- Pune City Office, Viman Nagar, Pune
• Division of the position :- Hyosung T&D India System Engineering Team
• Approximately CTC Budget :- Based on Company policy
• Experience/background :- More than 16 years/Substation SAS & CRP

Required Role and Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, understand the schemes, prebid clarifications, review vendor quotations, find missing items, risk evaluation and finalize technical requirement for tender projects for secondary items.
• Should have experience of Managing a Team of 8 – 10 engineers for more than 6 – 8 years is required.
• Review the contract documents and prepare the engineering schedule, MDL for Substation projects.
• Review the vendor drawings and evaluate offers for making a contract for Substation projects.
• Lead a preparation of Basic Design – SLD, Protection SLD, Trip Matrix, Interlock logic diagram, SAS Signal list, SAS block diagram, BOM preparation, Communication system block diagram etc.
• Deep knowledge of Substation Automation System, Architecture diagram, Component lists, Protocols, Communication with NLDC etc. is required.
• Lead a preparation of Calculations – Relay setting calculation, CT/VT sizing, Relay Parameterization, Battery/ Charger sizing, MCCB/MCB sizing, HV/MV/LV cable sizing, etc.
• Deep knowledge on different protection functions, Application, working principle, Schemes, BOM Preparation is required.
• Lead a preparation of Detailed Drawing – BOM list of construction, Review/ Check all detailed drawings, Checklist & drawing for site survey, Review/ Comment for civil and building drawing, BOM & diagram etc.
• Preparation of cable interconnection and termination schedule.
• Experience on FOTE, SAS, PLCC, Communication protocols, Data transmission with remote end LDC, LAN, CCTV etc. is a must.
• Review the approval documents and client’s comments for Substation projects.
• Manage the budget and save the cost for Substation projects.
• Lead the approval of documents and make a design concept for Substation projects.
• Report on the progress of engineering and plan a catch-up (if required).
• Coordinate with site and vendor to meet the project schedules.
• Have a meeting with vendor and client.
• Review/ Comment on equipment type test report, FAT report and As-built drawings.
• Support and solve the technical issues with other engineers.
