Key skills for the job
- We are looking for a Chartered Accountant Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities.
- Accounting Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.
- We are also looking for someone to work closely with our financial management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at yearend.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Day-to-day banking operations and coordination with banks as and when required.
- Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing special reports.
Requirements:
- CA Qualified with 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience as an Accountant or in a similar role in real estate firms.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Excel and other accounting software.
- Knowledge of taxation and compliance is a plus.
- CA Degree is mandatory
