ETL Developer - Data Modeling & Warehousing (10-15 yrs)

Job Title : ETL Developer (Telecom Domain)

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 10-15 Years

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and data marts.

- Understand and interpret mapping documents to create detailed transformation logic.

- Develop and implement data quality checks and validation processes.

- Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability.

- Understand data modeling principles and data warehousing concepts.

- Collaborate with data architects to design and implement data models.

- Ensure data integrity and consistency across data warehouses.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

- Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers as needed.

- Utilize your expertise in any ETL tool (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, Azure Data Factory) to develop and maintain ETL processes.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest ETL tools and technologies.

- Leverage your deep understanding of the telecom domain to design and implement relevant data solutions.

- Understand telecom data models, business processes, and industry standards.

- Understand and interpret High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.

- Contribute to the development of design documents as needed.

- Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues.

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including ETL process designs, mapping documents, and data dictionaries.

- Generate reports on ETL process performance and data quality.

- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL process issues and data-related problems.

- Provide support for data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.

Required Skills :

- DM/ETL Process Knowledge : Deep understanding of data management and ETL processes.

- ETL Tool Knowledge : Expertise in any ETL tool (Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, etc.).

- Transformation Logic : Ability to understand mapping documents and develop transformation logic.

- Complex Queries : Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.

- Domain Knowledge : Strong understanding of the telecom domain.

- HLD/LLD Understanding : Ability to understand and interpret High-Level and Low-Level Design documents.

- Coordination Skills : Strong coordination and collaboration skills.

Required Experience :

- 10-15 years of experience as an ETL Developer.

- Proven experience in developing and maintaining ETL processes.

- Strong experience in the telecom domain.

- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling.

- Proficiency in SQL and ETL tools.
