SAP MDG Consultant (7-12 yrs)

Job Title : SAP MDG Consultant

Location : Pune

Experience : 7-12 Years

Responsibilities :

- Configure and customize SAP MDG Material Master Data Model and enhancements.

- Implement and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) within SAP MDG.

- Utilize Context Adaptation, Floorplan Manager (FPM), and Webdynpro for UI enhancements.

- Configure and implement BRF+ workflows, including decision table configurations and BAdI implementations.

- Implement Data Quality BAdIs for validations, derivations, and UI field properties.

- Ensure data quality and consistency across master data domains.

- Implement key/value mapping as needed.

- Configure and manage Data Replication Framework (DRF) for master data replication using IDocs, RFC, and Web Services.

- Integrate SAP MDG with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Utilize MDG APIs for various use cases.

- Review and understand business requirements and translate them into technical specification documents.

- Develop functional and technical design documents.

- Create and maintain configuration and process documentation.

- Execute unit tests based on functional specification scripts and document the results.

- Resolve identified defects promptly, retest, and collaborate with the functional team for production deployment.

- Resolve incidents reported by business users, including break fixes and minor/major enhancements.

- Utilize project team tools (Dynamics, RevTracks, JIRA) to access defects, incidents, and tasks.

- Provide support for production issues and resolve them in a timely manner.

- Willing to work in shifts as required by project needs.

- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required Skills :

- Strong understanding of the SAP MDG Material Master Data Model and enhancements.

- Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) management within SAP MDG.

- Proficiency in Context Adaptation, Floorplan Manager (FPM), and Webdynpro for UI enhancements.

- Experience with BRF+ workflows, decision table configurations, and BAdI implementations.

- Knowledge of Data Quality BAdIs for validations, derivations, and UI field properties.

Required Experience :

- 7-12 years of experience as an SAP MDG Consultant.

- Proven experience in implementing and supporting SAP MDG solutions, specifically Material Master Data and BOM.

- Strong experience in MDG configuration, customization, and integration.

Preferred Skills :

- Key/value mapping expertise.

- Experience with other SAP MDG domains (e.g., Customer, Vendor).

- Knowledge of SAP ABAP development.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
