Senior SFCC Developer (Front-End)

About this role:

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with strong expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to lead the design and implementation of exceptional user interfaces for eCommerce applications. In this role, you will drive the development of responsive and high-performing frontends, set technical standards, and guide a team of developers to deliver state-of-the-art eCommerce solutions.

Responsibilities

Frontend Development:

Lead the development of responsive, cross-browser-compatible user interfaces using SFCC Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA).

Develop custom client-side solutions, including JavaScript libraries, components, and frameworks.

Mentorship:

Provide technical leadership and guidance to frontend developers.

Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to deliver seamless and user-friendly eCommerce experiences.

Translate business and design requirements into technical specifications and actionable tasks.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize frontend performance to ensure fast loading times and a seamless user experience across devices.

Monitor and resolve frontend-related issues, including accessibility and usability challenges.

Innovative Solutions:

Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and trends, incorporating innovations into project work.

Propose and implement new tools or frameworks to improve development efficiency and user experience.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required in Engineering (Computer Science or Information Science preferred).
Strong academic record, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5 to 8 years of experience with at least 4 years as an SFCC developer..
In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
Proficiency in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SFCC Business Manager.
Proficient knowledge & hands-on experience using ISMLs, SCSS, Bootstrap, and setting up Business Manager Configuration
Experience of using CSS pre-processors, CSS-in-JS (we use SASS and styled components).
Commercial experience of using version control tooling (GIT) in a large development team performing.
Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and server-side development.
Familiarity with tools like Jenkins/Circle CI, Jira, GitHub and familiarity with eCommerce frameworks is good to have.
